One of the easier routes to the highest mountain in Germany, but don't underestimate it.
Most of the time it is fairly easy walking, but it takes several hours to get to the Knorr hut. Here the path is getting much steeper and at one point it goes over the difficult part with a steep incline over the rocks. Immediately after that starts with a bit of climbing secured by cable. As this part is already close to 3000 meters above the sea, some might feel tired or weaker than usual.
Be careful also with weather as it is not very stable there and as snow can stay on Zugspitze for a long time.
If you respect the mountain, it is a relatively easy hike for a mountain that high. Still, I wouldn't recommend it if you are not fit.
