Karwendel, Austria

Exhausting, but extremely beautiful route in the middle of Karwendel

On paper this route looks much easier than it actually is. Even it is relatively short and the elevation gain is not that high, problem is the steepness of the path and exposure to the sun.

The path is just not steep enough to use your hands, which puts the test on your fitness as you have to go by foot the entire time.

Once you reach the summit, you will be able to see almost whole Karwendel, namely the first neighbors Lamsenspitze and Gamsjoch. On the other side is extraordinary view on another valley, Achensee and Rofan mountains. This memorable mountain leaves nobody indifferent at the end as the effort is worth in every way.
