Rofan Mountains, Austria

Magnificent mountain with breathtaking views

Given the impressive look of the mountain and the fact that this is a black route, it actually is not that hard at all. It requires good fitness and the short technical part can be barely called scrambling.

Since this peak is visible from almost everywhere as it has remarkable shape, the same goes in other direction. On a clear day you can see all from Zugspitze, through Karwendel and Rofan mountains to Watzmann as well as Großglockner and Großvenediger in a distance. The peak is also not that frequently visited and you can enjoy in the view in silence.

There is no Hütte on the way and it is exposed to the sun, so bring a lot of water with you.
